Sardar Patel Jayanti
Ambassador Lakhan Mehrotra formerly Secretary in the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India graced our Vidyalaya with his presence on the occasion of Sardar Patel Jayanti. Sh. Mehrotra threw light on the Sardar’s enduring personality, paying a tribute to this colossal leader of India’s Freedom Movement. He shared how this son of the soil rose to become one of the tallest leaders of independent India and used various situations from the life of Sardar to illustrate his point. He brought to the fore rare instances from the life and work of the revered leader, describing how his patriotism was inclusive and based on pluralism and also sharing insights into Sardar’s role in the process of integration of Junagadh and Jammu & Kashmir with the Republic of India.
