Saanjhi - 2017

The Vidyalaya celebrated its annual folk festival “Saanjhi 2017” on 8th December, 2017

Eighteen Schools participated in this event.

“Saanjhi” consisted of three broad categories-

STORY TELLING for Classes IV and V
FOLK ART WORKSHOP for Classes VI to XI
FOLK MUSIC EXPOSITION for Classes VI to XI

Sh. Biswajit Roy Choudhary, renowned Sitarist, was our Chief Guest and Sh. Subrat Sinha was guest for the “Story Telling” session.

The main highlights of the event were, “Kalbelia” dance performance by Rajasthani folk dancers and a performance by Teejan Bai on “Pandavani” which is a folk singing style involving narration of tales from the ancient Indian epic Mahabharata.
