Independence Day Celebration - 2025
The 79th year of Indian independence was celebrated at Sardar Patel Vidyalaya, seeped in the sea of the tricolour, on 13th August 2025.
The Guest of Honour for the day was the Air Chief Marshal, AP Singh. The programme commenced with the music choir's rendition of the day's favourite, Ae Khak e Hind, reverberating the entire auditorium.
The Vidyalaya's Dramatics team presented a theatre production of Krishan Chander's short story, Gaddhha, capturing the immense possibility of generational change, carrying the winds of change.
The production was followed by the Chief Guest's address. In his speech, the Chief of the Air Staff, underlined the significance of the present whilst reminding his listeners of the glory of the years agone. He also discussed the importance of schooling in the formative years of students' lives and its implications on our interests and development, and the need to ensure both peace and protection of the nation.
The last segment of the programme comprised of the scholarship distribution by Shri Ketanbhai Shah, President of the Gujarat Education Society.
The day's celebrations encompassed the foundational and cherished ideals which frame the pillars of the nation.
